The Self-Care Revolution

AishRose Highlights On When It's Time For A Break And How Pluto Moving Into Aquarius Will Affect Society For The Next 19 years!

We hear the term ‘Self Care’ all over social media.

The Self-Care Revolution Surrounds Us But, What Does It Mean?

Pluto the planet of transformation entered the sign of Aquarius on 19th November 2024.

Pluto will remain in the sign of Aquarius until 2043.

Pluto hasn’t been in the sign of Aquarius in 200 years, we can expect an Incredible energy shift with a new era of change.

What Does This Mean For Society?

It means it's time to start saying your goodbyes to hierarches, old fashioned views on how to make money, power dynamics, obsessive behaviour and finally the ending of many karmic friendships/relationships. All due to Pluto leaving the sign of Capricorn and now entering the sign of Aquarius.

For the next 20 years society will be embracing Freedom of Speech, Innovation, Creativity, Individuality and Activism.

A great time to focus on self, your dreams and your passions.

The new energy shift will call you to recognise when it’s time to pause and reflect.

Is it time to be more open-minded?

How can you take better care of self?

Are you expressing your authentic self?

I’m currently having a couple of days off for self-care and while I’m taking care of me, I felt called to revisit the things I love, so here I am :)

Firstly, What is Self-Care?

Self-care are the actions we take to look after our physical, mental health and emotional health. Self-care priorities your own wellbeing to promote a healthier lifestyle. Self-care activities Include physical exercise, social pursuits, rest, nutrition, spiritual practises, mindfulness and daily choices that encourage you to show up as your best self.

Self-care rituals can help you to stay grounded, reduce stress and attain emotional fulfilment.

There are 8 different types of Self-Care Models, these are.

1. Emotional

2. Physical

3. Social

4. Psychological

5. Spiritual

6. Mental

7. Environmental

8. Financial

It is important to understand that each person requires different levels of self-care.

What works for you may not work for the next person. Taking time out to understand your wants and needs will help you to sustain your best self, the journey is personal, and your chosen activities became your lifestyle choices.

But how do you know when self-care is needed?

Here are my personal signs on when it’s time for a break and to indulge in self-care rituals.

1. Lack of sleep or a disturbed sleeping pattern

2. Missed meals or a change in your appetite

3. A drastic change in weight such as loss in weight or weight gain

4. No desire for social activities/ too busy to have a social life

5. Avoiding friends/family

6. Mood swings, stress or anxiety

7. Over worked with little or no ‘me time’

8. No longer participating in your hobbies/activities you enjoy

9. Becoming ill such as developing a cold/flu or headaches

10. Lack of motivation or difficult concentrating

If one or more of the signs resonate with me, I know it is time for me to reflect and take some time out for self-care. Sometimes depending on the Individual circumstances, I may only need a day or two of self-care activities. However, depending on how overworked or stressed I am, I may take a couple of weeks out to ground my energy and to focus on self.

You must do what is right for you. Trust that your body knows when its time to rest and believe you deserve time out to relax and unwind.

Tomorrow is a new day.
